Napa Valley TV offers three classes to TV station members: a “Producer’s Orientation,” a “TV Production Workshop,” and “Introduction to Digital Editing." "Producer's Orientation" is offered on the first Thursday of each month. "TV Productions Workshop" and "Introduction to Digital Editng" are offered on the second and third Fridays of each month. All classes start at 6:30pm. Private Classes are available at a training rate of $50 per hour. Private classes will be taught virtually. (Note: Off-site training requires a 2-hr minimum). If you need to reschedule or cancel a class you have signed up for it must be done at least 48 hours before the class date, or class fees will not be refunded. Classes start promptly at 6:30pm. Anyone more than five minutes late to class will be rescheduled to a future class date and may forfeit the class fees for that evening.

This non-technical, 90-minute class will cover the policies and procedures of community access television and is the first step toward becoming a Television Producer with your own TV show. This class is required for all members who wish to submit programming to Napa Valley TV for the first time. Parents must also take this class if they have a minor in their household planning to submit content to Napa Valley TV under their family membership.
In this 3-hour workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of television production. Use of the video camera operation and terminology, shot composition, use of tripods, basic lighting, audio, and script outlines will be covered. Successful completion of this class will allow students to serve as crewmembers at the Napa Valley TV studio. It will also allow them the ability to check out field camera equipment for on-location productions.
Napa Valley TV utilizes the powerful, yet easy user-intuitive features of Adobe Premiere Elements. In this Windows based program, students will learn to capture and edit video, add music, create a voice-over, add titles and make your production something everyone will enjoy, all while keeping themselves familiar with the popular Windows shortcuts and commands. This one-time workshop class lasts approximately three hours and is limited to four people per session.
